There is a shortage of blood donors across the nation, especially African Americans and other people of color.
People of color receive blood in emergencies like everyone. But, many who have blood conditions like sickle cell disease or thalassemia need blood transfusions every month to survive and thrive.
For them, it’s important to have a close match between their blood type and the donor’s – and that’s most likely if they have similar ancestry. Let’s diversify the blood supply! Find a blood center and give: aabb.org/GiveBlood
